The Office of Campus Center and Event Services provides a full range of meeting and event services to internal and external clients. As a member of the Operations Staff, the other students and I oversee the daily operations of Ithaca College's Campus Center building to provide everyone at Ithaca College with a space to study, socialize, and host events. Students who are studying across the country, as well as those who have graduated, continue to call our information desk, which is a clear indication of our exceptionally high standards of customer service.

 

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Work with the rest of the manager team to hire, train, monitor, assess, and lead a staff of nearly 50 student workers.

  • Oversee daily building operations

  • Provide office and administrative support to full time staff

  • Staff Ithaca College's information desk- the first point of contact for anybody calling the College

  • Prepare meeting rooms and venue spaces for events run by both internal and external clients

  • Customer Service Manager: regularly train and review the staff's performance at the information desk

  • Events Manager: Plan office-wide events to facillitate team bonding across the manager staff
