By far, the most formative experience I have had during my time at Ithaca College has been as a co-chair for Ithaca College's Senior Week- a week-long celebration for the graduating class that falls between the end of finals week and the annual comencement ceremony. This week consists of 7 unique events including concerts, cocktail hours, formals, and an annual tradition known as the "Senior Splash," in which the seniors have the opportunity to jump into Ithaca College's iconic fountains. Senior Co-Chair Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage two successful Senior Weeks both consisting of 7 events, in 5 venues, for over 800 pass purchasing seniors.

  • Hold weekly meetings to brainstorm unique event ideas, create effective task timelines, research venues and vendors, handle income processing, and monitor invoices.

  • Create, manage, and balance a budget of over $100,000

  • Plan, direct, and measure a marketing campaign consisting of social media, print, and video elements to drive sales of passes.

  • Collaborate with internal Ithaca College stakeholders

  • Vet venues and vendors for their ability to meet our events' needs

  • Manage, negotiate, and finalize all outside venue and vendor contracts to coordinate events.

  • Recruit, train, and manage a group of 20 underclassman volunteers

  • Mentor, train, and prepare three junior co-chairs to take over the planning and execution of the week upon my graduation
